Here is the SMG Volleyball Schedule for the Week of Sept 11-17.

On Saturday, July 1st, members of the SMG Robotics Teslas Team participated at the Brick Fiesta Lego Fan Convention in Mesquite, Texas. The SMG Teslas had a Demo area where visitors learned about the First Lego League Competitions. Our students had the opportunity to explain their strategy, show their robot and run the different missions for the visitors. Steven Canvin, keynote speaker of the event and the Senior Concept Designer on the LEGOÒ MINDSTORMSÒ Development Team visited our booth and spoke to our students, Andrew Paladini, David Capps, & Oscar Morales. We learned from other school districts that visited our booth, due to budget constraints, most schools have only one team and students have to compete to earn a spot. Thanks to the generous support received from our SMG Robotics Club Parents and our Corporate Sponsors (Bell Helicopter, Knights of Columbus, Twice the Ice, Ray Depta – Nolan Catholic HS), our school has been able to fund SIX teams for a total of 27 students.

Congratulations to our SMG 6th & 7th Grade Girls Basketball Teams! Both won 1st place at the Stephen Breen Wildcat Challenge 2017 hosted by St. Andrew's Catholic School. What a great way to start Spring Break! Great job, girls!

December 5th-16th SMG 6th graders recently took a field trip to Catholic Charities and participated in activities and rotations focusing on families in need. Students were challenged with the project of organizing a donation drive collecting cleaning items.
