2025-2026 Summer Reading
6/15/2026Summer is the perfect time to keep young minds active and growing through reading. Regular reading over the break helps prevent the “summer slide,” strengthens vocabulary, and builds comprehension skills that set students up for success in the fall. Just 15–20 minutes a day can make a meaningful difference. Encourage your child to choose books they enjoy—whether it’s novels, graphic stories, magazines, or nonfiction—so reading feels like a reward, not a chore. Trips to the library, setting family reading time, and talking about what they’re reading can all help foster a lifelong love of books.
