Outdoor Carline Starts September 2

Dear Parents, we hope your family is settling well into the school year! We want to share some important updates and reminders regarding dismissal and carline procedures.

🚗 Outdoor Carline Begins Tuesday, September 2, 2025

Please note that starting on this date, carline will move outdoors. Be sure to have your green carline cards clearly visible in the front window, and remember to pack your patience as everyone gets used to the process.

Carline Procedures#

The new system will have four continuous car lines. To keep things safe and smooth, please carefully follow these guidelines:

1. Parents in Lane 4 MUST line up against the fence line so that two lanes can enter the parking lot.
2. Parents in Lanes 1–3 should line up in the lane closest to the school.
3. Do not move cars into the small lot next to the Holy Family Life Center.
4. Stay off your cell phone—watch carefully for children.
5. Drive slowly at all times.
6. Green cards must be visible. If you forget yours, you must drive to the front office, show ID, and wait for your child to be brought up.
7. Pull all the way up to the orange cone before stopping. Once your child is loaded, you may exit.
8. Please remain patient and respectful of teachers, staff, and other families in our SMG community.

Dismissal by Family Type#

• PreK & Kindergarten Only Children: Dismiss from Lane 1.
• PreK & Kindergarten with Siblings: Dismiss from Lane 2 (extra time/space for car seats).
• Families with Two or More Children (not PreK/K): Use Lane 3.
• Families with One Child: Use Lane 4.
