Catholic Schools Week 2025

Catholic Schools Week 2025 will take place from January 26 to February 1, and the theme is "Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community". We have lots of amazing events planned for this week, as we prepare to invite the community to see what SMG is all about.

Here are some of the things you can look forward to throughout the week:

Sunday: Celebrating our Parish#

• SMG students will host all weekend Masses.
• The school will be open from 10am to 2pm for guided tours.
• SMG hosts the annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser!

Monday: Celebrating our Community#

• 6-8th graders will volunteer at Mission Arlington
• 4th-5th graders will volunteer at the Padre Pio House
• Pre-K-3rd graders will make bouquets for the church

Tuesday: Celebrating Vocations#

• SMG Singers will visit the Sisters of Saint Mary of Namur at Our Lady of Victory
• Special guests will be on campus to speak to students about vocations and how faith plays a role in their lives

Wednesday: Celebrating our Volunteers#

• We will announce the winners of the "Volunteer of the Year" and "Teacher of the Year" awards!
• Breakfast and coffee will be served for all volunteers after the 8am Mass.
• Public Open house from 8am-11pm and 1pm-4pm

Thursday: Celebrating our Nation#

• Playground ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30am
• Students will write letters for our local government officials

Friday: Celebrating our Students, Teachers, and Staff#

• Catered lunch for staff
• Treats provided for students and staff
• Pep rally and 8th grade vs. teachers volleyball game!
